Al is continuing to work with travel writer Rick Steves, helping him make inroads in the world of public education.
Al had successful rotator cuff surgery in February (too many curve balls in Little League).
Al is volunteering to do beaver habitat assessments up Logan Canyon with Utah State University and the Forest Service. Part of a well-rounded retirement.
In July Kay and Al took a Colorado River raft trip with some very nice, very brave, non-swimming Cambodian students (part of a large group of international students studying at Utah State) -- and flipped! Everyone alive and smiling afterward.
Kay visited India in the Spring as part of a Fulbright International Educators group.
The amazing trip ended with a visit to one of the seven wonders of the world-The Taj Mahal.
